BJP announces chief minister in Chhattisgarh. Vishnudev Sai will take over as the Chief Minister of the state. The decision was taken in the assembly party meeting. Vishnu Dev Sai was a former Union Minister and President of PCC. He is an MLA from Kunkuri assembly in Jashpur district.
Vishnudev Sai was decided as the chief minister of Chhattisgarh in the assembly party meeting held in Raipur under the leadership of central observers. The name of tribal leader Vishnudev Sai, who was not included in the first consideration list, came up in the last moments. It is indicated that the majority of the 54 MLAs supported Vishnudev Sai. He was the Union Minister of State in the first Modi government and a four-time MP from Raigad. He was a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly for two consecutive terms from 1990-98 before the formation of the state in 2000.
He was the state president of BJP in Chhattisgarh from 2020 to 2022. There are indications that there will be two more deputy chief ministers in the state cabinet. The BJP is worried that the leaders like Raman Singh and Arun Sao, who wanted the post of Chief Minister, will be challenged in the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, where the dispute is most intense, the assembly party meeting will be held tomorrow.
