New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Health Bharti Praveen Pawar has said in the Lok Sabha that 108 countries have approved India’s corona vaccine certificate for travel purposes.
However, not all countries require a corona vaccine certificate for such travel. He said that out of the list of countries with such requirements, 108 countries have ratified India’s Immunization Certificate. The Minister presented the figures till December 6, 2021, in the Lok Sabha.
The World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (EUL) provides information about the vaccine to various countries. Pawar said essential data on vaccine quality, safety, efficacy, and performance would help countries determine the acceptability of vaccine use.
Thus, the vaccination certificate of people who have received EUL-approved immunizations is internationally recognized. Pawar added that many countries are relaxing the covid standards for those who have received the approved vaccine.
