New Delhi: Those who received the first dose on the first day of the Covid vaccine distribution will be given the second dose on Saturday. Those receiving the first dose should receive the second dose after 28 days. The nationwide distribution of the vaccine began on January 16th.
As of Friday, more than 77 lakh health workers and Covid Front fighters in the country had received their first dose of the vaccine. The central government said 97 percent of those who received the vaccine were satisfied. According to government sources, the vaccine aims to reach 300 million people in the country by July.
Serum Institute’s Covishield and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin are currently licensed for distribution in the country. It is reported that the Russian-made Sputnik vaccine will also arrive in India by April.
