New Delhi: India’s 75th General Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. During the presentation of the budget for the financial year 2022-23 in Parliament she said that the country is ready to face the covid challenge. The farmers will be given Kisan drones. A support price of Rs 2. 37 lakh will be given to the farmers. The Parvat Mala project will be launched in the hilly transport sector. The main promise in this budget is 400 new Vande Bharat trains. Five river integration projects have also been announced. The development of 25000 km of National Highways has also been announced. She also said that steps would be taken to privatize LIC.
The budget presentation began by referring to the crisis created by covid.
The minister said the country was ready to face the challenges of covid. The main goal of the government is housing, water, and energy for all. The economy of the country is improving. She said India’s growth was better than other countries. Atmanirbhar will give main importance to Bharat. This fiscal year will see a growth of 9.2 percent. She said the budget was a development document for the next 25 years.
The presentation comes after the budget was approved by the Union Cabinet. This is the fourth time Nirmala Sitharaman has performed a public budget.
