Jaipur: An Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 fighter jet has crashed in Rajasthan. The accident took place in Barmer, Rajasthan around 9 pm on Thursday night.
The Air Force has started an investigation into the crash of the MiG-21 aircraft in which two pilots died. The Air Force said the accident occurred during a training flight. The accident happened around 9.10 pm on Thursday. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary condoled the incident.
An Air Force MiG-21 aircraft crashed in Bhimda village of Barbar district, Rajasthan. The wreckage of the plane was scattered over a distance of about one kilometer. District Collector, Superintendent of Police and Air Force personnel reached the spot and conducted a preliminary inspection. Meanwhile, the cause of the accident is still unclear.
