Three people, including a BJP leader, have been arrested in connection with a murder case in Bardhman
Bardhaman: Police have arrested three people, including a local BJP leader, in connection with the murder of a 74-year-old man in West Bengal’s Purba Bardhaman district. They were arrested on Friday and produced in a local court on Saturday, where they were remanded in police custody for 10 days. On March 9, an elderly man was found shot dead inside his home in the Post Office Para in the Raina police station area. On the day of the incident, the elderly man had withdrawn money from his bank account. The police concluded that the motive behind the murder was to rob money. Defendants said a man accidentally fired and that the elderly man fell to the ground and ran away without taking any money.
At the same time, he alleges that the BJP has fabricated a case against Bardhaman, the ‘Shakti Kendra Pramukh’ in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly seat.
