New Delhi: The Central Government has extended the ban on flights to and from Britain for another week. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that the temporary ban, which was in place from December 22 to 31, will be extended to January 7 next year. The central government has said it will take further action after assessing the situation in the country.
Covid disease, a genetic mutation reported in the UK, has so far been confirmed in 20 people in India. The disease was confirmed in 14 people who arrived the previous day. The mutated virus does not change any of the other symptoms of Covid except that it spreads rapidly. The virus is currently found in Australia, Italy, Sweden, India, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Spain. It has been found in France, Japan, Lebanon, Singapore, the UAE, and Japan.
