New Delhi: The number of Omicron cases in the country has crossed 100. According to Love Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, Omicron has been confirmed for 101 people in 11 states. Currently, the virus has been confirmed in 91 countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that omicron is spreading faster in South Africa than in the Delta. Agarwal said the WHO had observed that Omicron would probably overtake the Delta in terms of expansion.
Unnecessary traveling should be avoided, ICMR Director General Dr. Balram Bhargava said. Large crowds and celebrations should also be avoided. Four more cases were confirmed in Delhi. With this, the total case became twenty. Of these, 10 were cured. Ten are in treatment. About 40 Omicron suspects are being treated at the Delhi LNJP Hospital.
