New Delhi: The agitation against the Agriculture Bill is intensifying in northern India. Farmers protest in the streets of Punjab and Haryana and parts of Uttar Pradesh. Farmers blocked highways. The tractor was put in the streets and blocked by farmers. The farmers’ agitation started this morning against the three bills that will become law with the signing of the President.
Opposition parties like Congress, DMK, Aam Aadmi Party, RJD, and Trinamool Congress are supporting the farmers’ protest. Dozens of unions are participating in the agitation.
Bihar, where elections are to be held, is also witnessing strong agitation. RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav led the protests. Tejaswi took part in the agitation by driving a tractor on the highway in Patna.
