New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has added 10 more Rafale fighter jets to strengthen the Indian defense sector. Three Rafale fighter jets will arrive in India in the next three days. After that, seven Rafale aircraft and a training version will arrive in India by the middle of next month, defense sources said.
The warplanes will fly non-stop for eight hours from Bordeaux-Marignac base in France to Hasimara base in Bengal. So far 11 Rafale flights have arrived in the country. With the arrival of new aircraft, the total number will increase to 21. India has awarded contracts for 36 Rafale aircraft. With the successful completion of this, the missions of the army will be further enhanced, the official sources said. The Rafale aircraft became part of the Indian Army in August last year.
