Vijayawada: Six students and a teacher drowned while bathing in the Krishna River in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The students and a teacher of the Vedic school died. The incident took place near Achampetta Madipadu in the Guntur district. They are said to be from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The children, aged 15 to 17, and their teacher K Subramaniam, 24, were identified. Andhra Pradesh Governor Bishwa Bhushan Harichandan expressed deep grief over the incident.
