New Delhi: India successfully tests a new version of ‘Shourya’ missile. A modified version of the nuclear-capable Solar missile was tested in Balasore, Odisha.
It is very lightweight and can be easily operated compared to current missiles, officials said. Authorities said the missile would reach hypersonic speeds as it approached the target.
India’s new missile test comes against the backdrop of ongoing tensions with China on the border. The latest version of the Shourya is a missile built entirely by the Defense Research and Development Council.
