Srinagar: The army has killed Mohammad Ismal Alvi, the mastermind of the Pulwama terror attack. A relative of Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar was killed by security forces during a clash in Kashmir. 49 CRPF jawans were martyred in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack. The clash between the terrorists and the security forces took place this morning. Two terrorists were killed in the clash. The details of the terrorists were later released by the police.
The deceased, Mohammad Ismail Alvi, was also the commander of Jaish-e Muhammad. He has been working in the field since 2018. He played an important role in making youths in part of the Jaish-e Muhammad. He had special training in bomb-making, including from the Taliban. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Alvi was behind several attacks on security forces.
The NIA’s investigation has found that he was the one who made the bomb and delivered the explosives for the Pulwama attack. Alvi was charged in the charge sheet but could not be apprehended. Police later confirmed that one of the two people killed in Saturday’s clash was Mohammed Ismail Alvi. This is an important achievement for the military in the fight against terrorism.
