Srinagar: Security forces have reportedly killed around 100 militants in Jammu and Kashmir this year alone. Of these, 63 are Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. The security forces said in a statement that 29 foreign terrorists were among the 100 killed.
That is more than double the number of terrorists killed during the same period last year. Security forces say 50 militants, including a foreigner, were killed in counter-terrorism operations in the first five months of last year. Of the terrorists killed in the clashes, 63 were reported to be members of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, and 24 were linked to Jaish-e-Muhammad (JEM).
