Thiruvananthapuram: The scrutiny of nomination papers submitted for Assembly elections has been completed. After scrutiny, 1061 candidates are contesting in 140 constituencies in the state.
The scrutiny of 2180 applications received till the 19th, the last day for submission of papers, was conducted today. The Chief Electoral Officer said it was time to withdraw the nominations by 22. The election is on April 6. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
