Bhubaneswar: Schools reopen in Odisha. The class will be conducted only for 10th and 12th class students. The schools will be reopened from July 26. Satyabrata Sahu, Principal Secretary, Department of Education, said the schools would be operating in compliance with the Covid norms.
He also suggested that all teachers should be vaccinated against the Covid vaccine before the schools reopen. He also demanded that the district education officers check whether the Covid norms are being followed in the schools. Sahu said only 40 percent of students benefited from the online class due to poor internet access in many parts of the state. He added that 60 percent of students did not benefit from online education.
