New Delhi: Rajya Sabha has passed a bill to reduce the amount of allowances and salary by 30 percent of Ministers and MPs.The bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
The cutting salaries will be used for COVID assistance. Home Minister Amit Shah was not present in the House. So the bill was introduced by Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy. Opposition MPs approved the bill. However, the MP said that the suspended regional development fund should be reinstated.
