India’s Ministry of External Affairs says 2 Indians killed in Russia-Ukraine war. Those who were killed were recruited by the Russian army for the war. The Ministry of External Affairs also asked Russia to stop inducting Indians into the army. Two Indian citizens were killed fighting for the Russian army against Ukraine. Russia has been asked to hand over the body immediately.
The Ministry of External Affairs also said that pressure is being put on Russia to release all Indians in the Russian army. Two people who were taken as assistants in the army had been killed earlier. The Ministry of External Affairs has also advised Indian citizens to be cautious while seeking employment in Russia. Earlier, many Indians who were forced to join the Russian army due to false job offers had returned.
It was also demanded that a system be made to prevent such recruitments from taking place in the future. It is reported that at least 200 people from India have been appointed to the Russian army in the last one year due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Recruits as auxiliaries in the Russian army are being made by offering huge salaries and advertising on social media.
