New Delhi; Elections to the three vacant Rajya Sabha seats in the state will be held on the 30th of this month. The notification will be issued tomorrow, the Central Election Commission said in a press release.
The last date for submission of nomination papers is the 20th of this month. Scrutiny on April 21st. The deadline for withdrawal is April 23. Voting on the 30th of this month runs from nine in the morning to four in the evening. Counting will take place on the same day.
The commission also said that the state chief electoral officer has been appointed as an observer in the elections, which will be held following the Kovid norms. The date for the Rajya Sabha elections in Kerala has been announced on the day of the retirement of the outgoing Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora. Sushil Chandra will replace Aurora today.
