Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra, who was arrested by the police in connection with a blue film production case, has been granted interim protection in a case registered in 2020. The protection was granted by the Bombay High Court in a case registered by the City Police in 2020. Justice SK Shinde restrained Raj Kundra from being arrested.
Kundra, who was arrested in July for producing and distributing pornography, is currently in jail. He had sought anticipatory bail last week in connection with the 2020 case. The sessions court had earlier rejected his bail application. He said the court had granted bail to another person in the case and asked him to grant bail to himself. At the same time, the prosecutor argued that Kundra’s involvement in the case was different from theirs.
The court barred police from arresting Kundra until the case is heard again on the 25th. The case against Rajkundra was registered in October 2020. The case was registered on the charge of displaying nudity and sexual intercourse on the OTT platform. Kundra, meanwhile, argued that this was a fake case. The court considered Kundra’s argument that no evidence had been found against him in the case.
