New Delhi: NIA has said that the Popular Front has links with many international organizations involved in carrying out terrorist activities in India. The NIA stated this in the affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court in defense of the investigation being conducted under the UAPA in the Palakkad RSS leader A Srinivasan’s murder case. The affidavit was filed in a petition filed by the accused Karamana Ashraf Moulvi against the NIA investigation.
The NIA says that there is a conspiracy behind Srinivasan’s murder and that the Popular Front’s method is to eliminate those who stand in the way of its agenda of overthrowing the democratically elected government. The Popular Front has prepared a list of those who are obstructed.
Srinivasan was the only one killed in that list. Therefore, the NIA requested the Supreme Court to dismiss the petition of Karamana Ashraf Maulvi and the issues related to Srinivasan’s murder fall under the purview of UAPA.
