New Delhi: The first phase of elections in 168 booths in West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency has been canceled. The decision was taken after opposition parties came to the polls alleging that the BJP was widely snatched booths and created violence in these booths. On May 12, the Election Commission ordered that there would be re-polling here.
The Election Commission said that the polling in 168 booths could be revoked and the re-polling can be done on May 12. The commission re-polled the report of the main election officer responsible for the constituency.
