New Delhi: Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving license, and election identification card will be one in the coming days.
The Ministry of IT has also directed the Central Government to implement the All India Digital ID Card (Federated Digital Identities).
The news was reported by Indian Express, a national media outlet, citing IT ministry sources. According to the report, a draft has been prepared. The digital ID method is to include the information of all the cards and use them accordingly.
The new proposal is in line with the India Enterprise Architecture framework under the Digital India project. The ministry said the repeated verification procedures could be eliminated by linking them to existing ID cards.
