Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has tightened controls on corona’s omicron variants, which have been confirmed in two cases.
Parents of school and college students under the age of 18 are required to take two doses of the vaccine. Thushar Girinath, Principal Secretary, Revenue, said in the order that the new guidelines should be implemented in all districts with immediate effect. The RTPCR negative certificate requirement for those arriving from the states of Kerala and Maharashtra will remain the same. A maximum of 500 people may attend public events, meetings, conferences, and other gatherings.
All government employees must have received two doses of the vaccine. Those who do not wear the mask will be fined Rs 250 within the limits of the municipal corporation and Rs 100 in the rural areas. Micro containment measures will be taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
