Ahmedabad: India beat Pakistan easily in ODI World Cup match. India chased down the target of 192 runs set by Pakistan in just 30.3 overs. Only 3 wickets were lost.
Shubman Gill, who came to the team after recovering from fever, became the opener along with Rohit Sharma. India started with a bang in the first overs. Shubman Gill was dismissed after scoring 16 runs, but Virat Kohli, who came next, supported Rohit.
India’s top scorer is Rohit Sharma who scored 86 runs. A firework innings that included six fours and six sixes off 63 balls. By the time 9.5 overs were reached, Kohli returned with 16 runs. Shreyas Iyer followed with 53 runs and KL Rahul 19 runs to lead India to victory in 30.3 overs.

Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets. Hasan Ali took a wicket.
Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, Pakistan crashed dramatically from the base to score 280-300 runs. The team lost only two wickets while scoring 155 runs, and the next eight wickets fell in a span of 36 runs.
Pakistan were all out for 191 runs in 42.5 overs. Pakistan captain Babar Azam (50) is the top scorer with a half-century.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets each for India.
Pakistan opener Abdullah Shafiq scored 20 runs, Imam-ul-Kah scored 36 runs and Mohammad Rizwan scored 49 runs. All the others except Hasan Ali, who scored 12 runs, were out in single runs.
This is the second lowest score by Pakistan against India in the ODI World Cup. The lowest score was 180 in 1999.
