New Delhi: Railways’ new order banning loud music and loud talking on phones on trains. Strict action will be taken if anyone is caught in this manner. The new measure is aimed at making travel more convenient for travelers.
In case of any such inconvenience to the passengers, the train staff will be held responsible. The new rule comes after the Railway Ministry received several complaints in this regard.
Train staff, including RPFs, ticket checkers, coach attendants, and caterers, will be responsible for ensuring that passengers are treated in an orderly and dignified manner so as not to cause any inconvenience to passengers.
During the awareness drive conducted by the Railways, the staff advised the passengers not to listen to music or speak loudly on the phone without earphones and to be polite.
In addition, the new law states that group passengers will not be allowed to speak until nightfall and all lights will be turned off after 10 pm. Passengers who do not comply with the rules will be dealt with strictly following the provisions of the Railways Act.
