Guwahati: The Central Election Commission (CEC) has extended the night curfew till May 7 to control the people in connection with the elections in Assam. The decision is that the restrictions will continue until next Saturday. Strict control is in place from 8 pm to 5 am. All shops are expected to close by 6 p.m.
The BJP won a total of 126 seats in the Assam Assembly, winning 88 seats. The Congress won 22 seats and the others 14 seats.
