Kolkata: Trinamool Congress president Mamata Banerjee has been sworn in as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal. Governor Jagadeep Dhankar administered the oath of office to Mamata Banerjee. This is the third consecutive Mamata Banerjee – led government in Bengal. The swearing-in ceremony was simply held at the palace in the wake of the Covid expansion.

The Trinamool Congress had won a landslide victory in the Assembly elections. It has not yet been announced who the ministers in Mamata’s cabinet will be. It is learned that the swearing-in of the ministers will take place only tomorrow.
