Mumbai: Lock-down restrictions will be lifted in Maharashtra at five levels from Monday. Concessions are granted by dividing the districts into five categories based on their positivity rate and use of oxygen beds.
Districts, where patients have oxygen beds with a positivity rate of less than five and less than 25 percent, will be completely deregulated. The group consists of 18 districts. Restaurants, malls, salons, theaters, and shops can be opened in these districts.
The second group includes districts with 25 to 40 percent oxygen beds, although the positivity rate is less than five. This category includes Mumbai. Cinema shooting will be allowed here. Shops may be open but restaurants, gyms, and salons may have partial control.
Marriages and reunions are allowed up to 50%. Offices are also allowed to open. But Mumbai local train services will not be allowed. Passengers will not be allowed on the buses.
Districts with 40-60 percent oxygen beds in use with a positive rating of five to 10 fall into the third group, and districts with more severe covid expansion into the other two groups. Restrictions are not relaxed here.
