Mumbai: Due to the intense heatwave, the Maharashtra Education Department has directed that schools must conclude classes before 12 PM. This directive applies to both government and private educational institutions.
Revised School Timings:
Primary classes: 7:00 AM – 11:15 AM
Secondary classes: 7:45 AM – 11:45 AM
The decision comes after heatwave warnings were issued in Mumbai and various parts of the state. The government has taken this step to ensure students’ safety and well-being.
Additional Guidelines for Schools:

* Provide cooling drinks like sherbet, ORS, and buttermilk to students
