Chennai: In Tamil Nadu, the lockdown has been extended till November 30 with further concessions. The theaters, parks, auditorium, and museum will all open on November 10th. It was also decided to start a suburban service if the central government gives its approval. Beaches and swimming pools will be closed.
Educational institutions have been allowed to open from November 16. Only the ninth, 10th, 11th, and 12th classes in the schools will be open in the first phase.
The announcement was made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami. The announcement follows a meeting of health experts and district collectors on Wednesday to assess the situation.
One hundred people can attend the wedding and death functions. At the same time, the pass was made compulsory to reach Tamil Nadu from other states. The government has said it will arrange for students to be grouped into schools as per their preferences.
