New Delhi: The Aviation (DGCA) informed the Supreme Court that they are ready to refund the full amount to the passengers booked ticket in two phases of the lockdown period. Those who booked tickets for International and domestic flights between March 25 and May 3 will get the full amount, DGCA said in the statement.
The airlines have made every effort to pay the dues. A refund of airline tickets booked during lockdown is necessary, the Director-General of Civil Aviation Specified in the statement. The DGCA also clarified that if the amount is not refunded, it will be a violation of the aviation rules of 1937.
The Supreme Court has asked the Central Government and the DGCA in the case earlier.
