New Delhi: A huge fire broke out in the ICU ward of Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Patients treated in the ICU were safely transferred to another ward. There were no casualties in the fire. About sixty patients were in the ICU ward at the time of the accident.
The fire was put out after hours of hard work. The fire broke out in the third ward of the hospital around 6.35 am. Firefighters and hospital staff rushed to the scene and rescued the patients.
The fire was brought under control by nine units of the fire brigade. The cause of the accident is not clear. The initial conclusion was that the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the ICU.
