Bangalore: Karnataka has tightened its grip on the rising covid cases. Apart from those coming from abroad, those coming from other states will also be subjected to the covid test, said Karnataka Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar told the media.
Covid cases have been on the rise in Karnataka for the past few days. The daily number of cases has crossed 5000. It is in this context that the restrictions are tightened. Those coming from other states will be subjected to the covid test. Covid care centers will be set up to ensure treatment.
The institutional quarantine will be established in collaboration with hotels and educational institutions. He said the hospital bed system would be set up transparently. A certificate of taking both doses of the vaccine is mandatory for access to public places. He added that this will be strictly enforced in markets, malls, bars, and restaurants.
