New Delhi: The central government makes e-visa compulsory for Afghan nationals arriving in India. The order was issued by the Union Home Ministry. The central government’s decision comes in the wake of the new political situation in Afghanistan.
Travelers can easily reach India with an e-Visa. The Central Government has said that in the event of the closure of the Afghan Embassy, online applications will be screened in Delhi and approved.
Following the seizure of power, the name was changed from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Sabihullah Mujahid said that Afghan nationals should not leave the country and that they would be given the necessary security. The Taliban leadership has said it will not accept the US policy of deporting doctors and other professionals.
