Chennai: In Tamil Nadu, Covid victims died due to lack of oxygen. Six Covid patients died due to lack of oxygen. The incident took place at the Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital. The dead included a pregnant woman.
At the same time, Sputnik V, a Russian-made vaccine, was introduced in the country. The first doses were given at the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. The Sputnik vaccine is imported into the country by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.
Apart from Telangana, Sputnik vaccination will start tomorrow in Andhra Pradesh as well. The vaccine will only be given to those who register through the Cowin app.
Sputnik V is the third vaccine to be distributed in the country. The vaccine is expected to be available in Delhi and Bengaluru soon.
