Hemant Soran sworn in as Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The political developments that started in January, days later Hemant Soren has returned to the Chief Minister’s chair.
After the Chief Minister resigned, the Enforcement Directorate arrested him in connection with the land fraud case worth crores. The High Court granted bail to Soren, whose direct role in the alleged scam was not clear.
In the presence of his father Shibu Soran, who was the former Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief, he was sworn in at 5 pm today. Soren responded that he sought his father’s blessing to face the challenges ahead.
Before coming to power, he criticized the BJP in X.
