Both the Houses of Parliament passed the amendment related to the increase in taxes. Companies collect taxes and pay them to the government. According to the new law amendment, foreign gaming companies will also have to take GST registration in India from now on.
Meanwhile, some states including Kerala have not issued any ordinance in this regard. Gaming companies argue that this will cause confusion. No online gaming companies are registered in the state.
