Mumbai: The accused in the murder of rationalist Dhobalkar has been confessed of the murder of Gauri Lankesh. Sharad Kalaskar, who was taken into police custody in connection with the death of Gauri Lankesh has revealed that a plan called ‘ Event’ has been formed to kill Gauri Lankesh.
Kalaskar said the killings were carried out with proper planning and that the right-wing organizations were behind the killings. The accused has pleaded guilty to the murder of Dholkar, Govind Pansare, and Gauri Lankesh. Gauri Lankesh was shot dead while opening her house gate on the night of September 5, 2017.
He was arrested last year on charges of murder and conspiracy. Kalaskar was arrested during a raid on a pistol manufacturing company in Nallasopara in Maharashtra. At a later interrogation, he confessed that he was involved in all three murders. Kalaskar has admitted that he has been in contact with some organizational leaders and has received brief training for the murder.
