Gas cylinder explodes while cooking, one dead: 10 injured, three houses destroyed

Chennai: Woman dies after LPG cylinder explodes. The incident took place in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The deceased has been identified as Rajalakshmi, 70, of Pandurangan Kovil, Karingalpetti. The blast destroyed three houses. The accident happened while cooking. Ten people were injured in the blast. Five people were rescued and taken to the hospital. This includes a child. The injuries of three people are reported to be serious. Rescue work is in progress. Two other nearby houses were also reported damaged.
