Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has been arrested after a 12-hour interrogation. Anil Deshmukh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case. He will be produced in court today. Earlier, ED had sent notices several times but Anil was not present. His plea to the High Court against his subsequent summons was dismissed yesterday.
The case alleges money laundering through fake trusts and others. Evidence against Anil Deshmukh has also come to light in a case of money laundering by the police while he was home minister.
