Srinagar: Troops killed five militants in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. The army said Jaish-e-Muhammad commander Zahid Wani and a Pakistani militant were among those killed in the attack. The clashes took place in Pulwama and Budgam districts. Kashmir IG P Vijay Kumar said the militants were linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Muhammad.
Four terrorists were killed in the Naira area of Pulwama district. Weapons and other ammunition were recovered from here. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted that the search was continuing in the area. A terrorist was killed in the clash in Budgam. AK-56 rifle weapons were seized from here.
