Mumbai: Five Malayalees arrested with drugs in Navi Mumbai. Five Malayalees were arrested with 80 grams of heroin worth Rs 8 lakh at Vashi Mafco market in Navi Mumbai. A group from Kerala was caught while trying to escape with drugs.
According to the police, they were in possession of intoxicating drugs which were collected to be smuggled to Kerala. The police laid a trap based on information that a few people were coming from Kerala to buy heroin at the Mafco market in Sanpada.
Nandu Subramaniam (28) from Kozhikode, Abubakar Siddiqui from Kasargod, Aman Muhammad (26), Umar Akram (38) and Nasim Musa (30) from Kannur were arrested. They got down from Kerala by train at Panvel station and reached Vashi. When they were caught after buying drugs, they were caught by the police while trying to escape.
