New Delhi: The Delhi Police has imposed a ban on drones and paragliders from January 20 in connection with Republic Day. Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has said that the ban was imposed because of the potential for terrorist airstrikes in the national capital.
Prohibitions include para-gliders, para-motors, hang gliders, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAS), micro-light aircraft, remote-piloted aircraft, hot-air balloons, and small-scale power aircraft. Para-jumping is banned until February 15.
