In the warning to the party, candidates and star campaigners, the commission states that strict action will be taken if the model code of conduct is violated.
Do not use shrines for election campaigns. Rather, political parties and leaders should try to improve the quality of election campaign through issue-based debates. Do not make untrue statements or try to mislead voters. Do not make any post that defames or insults the opponent. The Election Commission also clarified that this directive is also applicable to social media.
