New Delhi: The International Civil Aviation Organization sought clarification to Pakistan on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s denial of the airstrip. The action comes based on a complaint filed by India following the closure of Pakistan’s airway ahead of the Prime Minister’s trip to Saudi.
India has sought permission from Pakistan to use the airstrip during a visit to Saudi Arabia. Foreign Minister Shah Mohammed Qureshi then informed the Indian High Commissioner about the denial of the airstrip. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has informed Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan Ajay Baisari that the Prime Minister has been refused air traffic.
