New Delhi: ED conducts a nationwide probe into the Delhi liquor policy scandal. ED is conducting raids in 40 places. Meanwhile, Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain was interrogated by the ED today in Tihar Jail.
ED examination is conducted in 40 places in states like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Punjab. Out of this, 20 places where raids are being conducted are in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. The extensive investigation by the ED came after the BJP came forward with more allegations in the liquor shop scam last day.
The BJP has alleged that the owners of liquor shops paid a bribe of Rs 100 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party and used the money received for election expenses in the states of Goa and Punjab. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal again denied the allegation of corruption in granting liquor shops. Kejriwal said that ED and CBI have registered the case as politically motivated. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is accused in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam Case.
