Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has said that 77 people were killed in natural calamities on October 17 and 18. 26 people were injured. Four people are missing. Authorities said 224 houses were damaged in the floods and landslides.
The bodies of five missing tourists were found in Suderdunga in Bageshwar district on Sunday. There are 19 people trapped in the canyon area. 33 tourists rescued from Pindari. Two tourists have gone missing in Chitkul-Hars in Uttarkashi district.
Meanwhile, the Border Roads Organization (BRO) said the Joshimath-Hatniti border road connecting the Indo-China border has been opened to traffic. Traffic on this road has been suspended due to landslides.
