Kolkata: Covid restrictions in West Bengal have been extended till August 15. Extended with concessions. Restrictions imposed under the Disaster Management Act 2005, the West Bengal Epidemic, and the Covid Regulations 2020 were earlier announced till July 30. Under the concessions, the government has allowed indoor events with 50 percent of the people.
Traffic is strictly prohibited between 9 pm and 5 am. People should not go out at this time. But health, emergency services, and essential goods services are exempt from night restrictions. The government has asked all district administrations, police commissioners, and local authorities to strictly follow the instructions.
