New Delhi: The government has tightened restrictions in the national capital amid rising outbreaks of the covid. The Delhi government has tightened controls, doubling the number of cases in a single day and forcing 22 patients to be admitted on a ventilator in critical condition.
The move follows the expansion of covid. On Tuesday, more than 5,000 people were diagnosed with the disease, while on Wednesday, the number of patients per day was more than 10,000. It is in this context that the Delhi government has imposed strict restrictions on those going out on weekends except for essential services.
Central and state government employees, judges, diplomats, lawyers, health workers, patients, pregnant women, long-distance inter-state travelers, media personnel, and students appearing for exams are allowed to travel on weekends. The National Museum and Parks have been closed by the Delhi government.
